Destruction FX : Houdini
3D Tracking & Compositing : Nuke
This project displays destruction FX and a reassembly of a Statue placed in a Live Action Backplate.
The first part was to match the statue and shadow to the background after 3D Tracking and Compositing.
The next part was fracturing the Statue using RBD tool in Houdini.
I used a animated sphere to activate the portion subject to destruction.
I reversed the Simulation using a Timewarp SOP.
The Sop level Pyro Solver was used to create the smoke from the reversed simulation.
